2004 Jeep Liberty Brake Line Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the Front Brake Line on 2004 Jeep Liberty?
A: It's important to insert a prop rod on the brake pedal to keep up the brake pressure when changing the front brake hose. After that, take the brake line out from the brake hose placed close to the front control arm bolt in the engine compartment. Jacks or stands the car up, then unscrew the bolt at the caliper and the mounting bolt on the vehicle where the hose attaches and only then remove the hose. The top of the front or rear brake hose should be mounted with the hose secured by the mounting bolt. After that, bolt the brake hose banjo onto the caliper, lower the car and remove the support under it. Link the brake line to the brake hose inside the engine compartment near the front control arm bolt, eliminate the bridgehold on the brake pedal and bleed the brake line.
