How Do A/C Compressor Cut-Out Switches Relate to Low Pressure Sensor Service and Repair on 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

When servicing the low pressure sensor switch, first disconnect and hide the negative battery cable. Following this, separate the wire harness wire from the A/C low pressure switch and remove the switch from the accumulator, throwing away the O-ring. When replacing the low pressure switch, use clean oil recommended for R-134a, lubricate a new O-ring seal with it and install it on the A/C accumulator fitting. Unscrew the nut on the accumulator, mount the A/C low pressure switch and screw it back on finger-tight. After that, attach the wiring harness connector to the low pressure switch and reconnect the negative battery cable.
