2005 Jeep Wrangler Blower Control Switches Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service Blower Control Switches on 2005 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Start by turning off the air bags on vehicles with air bags by isolating the battery negative wire, then allow two minutes for the air bag capacitor to drain power before continuing. Remove the negative battery terminal's connection, then gently take off the blower motor switch knob using a trim stick or other wide flat-bladed tool. Pull the A/C-heater control from the instrument panel, then remove the bolt that joins the blower motor switch to the back of the control and take out the blower motor switch. To install the switch, place it in the rear of the A/C-heater control and hold it in place with the screw. Tighten the screw to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). After that, hook the battery's negative cable back up, then secure the blower control switch knob to the stem and finish by attaching the A/C-heater control again.
