2006 Chrysler Pacifica Ignition Coil Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Ignition Coil on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: At the beginning of the ignition coil service, unplug the electrical connector from the coil and unhook the negative side of the battery cable. First, take off the upper intake manifold, air into the coil area and the spark plug and then tighten and loosen the screw holding the coil, so you don't misplace the spacers. Once the ignition coil is removed, set in the new ignition coil, fasten the coil screws by hand and then secure them to 6.7 N.m or 60 in. lbs. After that, screw on the electrical connector to the ignition coil, restore the upper intake manifold and snap back the negative cable to the battery terminal. Before removing the screws from the rear ignition coils, remove the negative battery cable, delete the electical connector, spray the coil area and spark plugs with compressed air and wait for a short time. Reset the ignition coil first, attach the newer one, tighten its screws only by hand and adjust them to N.m 6.7 (60 in. lbs.). The next step is to put the ignition coil's electrical connector in place and screw it until it's firm and then reconnect the battery's negative cable.
