2006 Chrysler Pacifica Engine Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: What Should Be Inspected Before Replacing the Engine Control Module for a Faulty Driver, Control Circuit, or Ground Circuit on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Be sure to inspect the related component and circuit closely before changing the Pcm of a misbehaving driver, control circuit or ground circuit, to check for double faults hidden by a single Dtc, as most Pcm driver/control circuit problems are actually caused by other internal failures in their components. Make sure to program the Pcm using the Vin first, before you replace and program all the vehicle keys to the Skreem. The Skrees Secret Key which is an I.d. code in the Skreem, engine controller and transponder chip, needs to be programmed into the Pcm when you're replacing it. To reprogram the pinion factor, switch the ignition on with the transmission parked or in neutral, go to Theft Alarm, Skreem, then Miscellaneous on the Drbiii(R) and choose Pcm Replaced. If you enter the wrong Pin for your car three times, the secured access mode will be locked out for one hour and won't allow access until the ignition is in the run position for one hour followed by the correct Pin. Turn off any accessories connected to the laptop and watch the battery to decide if you should connect a charger. Press Enter to move the secret key, so the Skreem provides the Pcm with the key.
