2006 Dodge Dakota MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on 2006 Dodge Dakota?
A: The MAP sensor is located embedded in the front of the intake manifold. Remove the sensor by unclipping the electrical connector from the sensor first then the area of the sensor. Next, remove the two mounting sensor screws and remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold. At this point check the condition of the sensor O ring. The MAP sensor mounting hole at the intake manifold should be cleaned for installation and the O ring seal checked for cuts or tears. Fit the sensor into the manifold, bolt down the mounting bolts and connect the electrical connector according to the Torque Specifications.
