2005 Dodge Dakota MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on 2005 Dodge Dakota?
A: The MAP sensor sits into the front of the intake manifold. First, disconnect electrical connector from the sensor and clean it around the area. Then, pull out the MAP sensor from the intake manifold, remove the two sensor mounting screws and check the condition of the sensor O ring. Clean the MAP sensor mounting hole at the intake manifold and inspect O ring seal on MAP sensor for cuts or tears. Install the MAP sensor mounting screws per Torque Specifications and position the sensor into the manifold, then connect the electrical connector.
