2006 Jeep Commander Ambient Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain an Ambient Temperature Sensor on 2006 Jeep Commander?
A: Before servicing the ambient air temperature sensor, disconnect and separate the negative battery cable. Release the grille and take the connector out of the ambient air temperature sensor at the top of the front bumper beam. Press the sensor's release tab and pull it out. The ambient air temperature sensor should be sat on the top of the front bumper beam, with all tabs being securely connected. Attach the wire harness connector to the sensor, fit the grille back into place and then link the negative battery cable.
