How to Service an Axle Shaft Seal on 2006 Jeep Liberty?

The seal and axle shaft should be serviced by first taking out the axle shaft, followed by the axle shaft seal (1) from the axle tube (2) with a seal pick. Before starting installation, make sure any leftover old sealer and burrs are taken off the axle tube. Rub axle lubricant around the new seal lip and place it into the bearing using Installer C-4198 (1) and Handle C-4171 (1). The last step is to reinstall the axle shaft.
