2006 Jeep Wrangler MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on 2006 Jeep Wrangler?
A: The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is at the back of the intake manifold and should be removed and installed using specific steps. First, remove the power connector from the sensor and after that, clean the region around it. After that, use a TORX head tool to remove the screw holding the sensor, then pull out the MAP sensor from the intake manifold and verify the O-ring. Start by cleaning the hole for the sensor, inspecting the O-ring on the sensor, positioning it into the manifold and putting the mounting screws in at 3 N.m (25 in. lbs.) torque.
