A: Removing the wiper motor and its boot starts with disassembling the front wiper unit. The first part is unscrewing and removing the front wiper module from the cowl plenum. After that, unlock the retainer holding the wiper motor pigtail wire connector to the front wiper module bracket. Reach under the front of the wiper arm and unscrew the nut that holds the wiper motor's crank arm to its output shaft. Remove the three screws holding the wiper motor to the front wiper module mounting bracket and then withdraw the wiper motor from the bracket. After you have dismounted the wiper motor, snap it onto the front bracket of the wiper module and tighten the screws to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs.). Then, put the wiper motor crank arm over the front wiper motor output shaft, add and tighten the nut to secure both parts and tighten the nut to 12 Nm (101 in. lbs.). First, snap the pigtail wire connector retainer from the wiper motor into the matching hole on the front wiper module bracket and finally, put the module back into the cowl plenum.
