How to Service and Repair Trunk Lid Lift Support on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?

The first step for trunk or liftgate shock support servicing is opening the liftgate and supporting it. With a flat-bladed tool or similar, push the sockets away while pulling the ball stud out, lifting the clip clips just enough to remove the stud. Afterwards, lift the support cylinder out.
