  A: To get to and repair the windshield washer pump, open your hood, unhook the battery cable from the negative post and make sure no electricity is flowing. Raise the vehicle and choose the right side of the car to move the left wheel inward. Increase the seating of the inner splash shield enough to see and open the washer reservoir (6). Disconnect the power cable from the washer pump motor (4 or 5) and freed the washer hose from the washer pump (4 or 5). After that, take out the pump motor from the reservoir (6) and use a new grommet before putting the pump in place or if you're restoring the old pump to the reservoir.
