2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Brake Proportioning Valve Parts and Q&A
Q: How to install a Brake Proportioning Valve on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: First grease the O-ring on the proportioning valve and if the valve is older, put in a new O-ring. After that, place the proportioning valve in the port of the master cylinder and tighten it to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). After that, link the brake tube to the proportioning valve and adjust the tube nut with a torque wrench to 17 Nm (145 in. lbs.). Following that, take out the brake pedal holder, drain the brake fluid from the affected line and check the brakes by driving on the road.
