Before starting, slide one end of a hose clamp over the return hose, making certain that the clamp doesn't block the fitting on your power steering fluid reservoir. Attach the upper end of the return hose to the molded fitting on the power steering fluid reservoir found inside the engine compartment and take the lower end down to the rear of the engine. Open the hose clamp and stretch it over the fitting on the reservoir. Ensure it goes past the bead formed on the reservoir's end. Lift and secure the vehicle, so that the power steering hoses do not contact the exhaust or anything else that may cause harm. Brush the dirty side of the power steering hose and the power steering fluid cooler cube with a towel that does not have any fuzz on it. Slide an hose clamp onto the end of the hose so that it does not touch the fitting on the steering gear or cooler. In left-hand drive vehicles, attach the return hose to the end of the cooler tube, then secure a hose clamp past that bead at the tube's end. For vehicles with a right-hand drive, place the return hose over the tip of the cooler tube and attach the hose clamp the same way. Drop the car's suspension, add and release power steering fluid and look for any leaks at the hose ends.
