2007 Dodge Caliber Tie Rod End Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Tie Rod End on 2007 Dodge Caliber?
A: Begin by raising and supporting the vehicle and then take off the nuts holding the wheel mount and remove the whole wheel and tire. Release the jam nut on the tie rod and then hold the tie rod's end stud with a wrench while loosening and removing the nut from the knuckle with a regular or crowfoot wrench. Attach Remover, Special Tool 9360, to the tie rod end and use it to release the tie rod from the knuckle. Then take out the outer tie rod from the knuckle. Placing the wheel at the correct toe can be easier if you remember how many revolutions you make when removing the outer tie rod from the inner one. Also, remove the outer tie rod from the inner tie rod.
