2007 Dodge Dakota Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Install a Front Center Seat Belt on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: You should check that seat belts, buckles, mounting hardware, retractors, tethers and anchors are in good condition, fix cut, stretched or torn belts, gently release twisted belts, tighten any loose attachments and replace any damaged buckles, retractors, latch plates or anchor plates with new parts from the DaimlerChrysler Mopar(R) Parts Catalog. Start by putting the front center seat belt lower anchor through the small opening in the side of the center seat cushion trim. Take the front center seat belt and slip the loose end and tip through the side elastic strap on the center seat cushion. Attach the seat belt lower anchor to the support bracket in the center seat, making certain the anti-rotation tab fits into the hole on the bracket. Tighten the screw that goes through the lower anchor into the center seat support bracket until it displays 40 Nm (29 ft. lbs.). Next, move the adjacent seat to the position behind you, so it's closer to the rear of the car.
