2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Blend Door Actuator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install the Blend Door Actuator for Panel/Defrost/Demist/Floor on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: Place the mode door actuator for the panel/defrost/demist/floor into the vehicle and fasten it to the left side of the HVAC air distribution housing. Aditionally, rotate the actuator slightly to make sure the splines on its output shaft match the splines on the mode door cam. Keep the actuator in place by installing its screws and tightening them to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Then, plug the HVAC wire harness connector into the actuator. Place the instrument panel silencer on the driver's side for LHD models, while install the glove box into the middle console for RHD models. Reinsert the black battery cable. Attach the mode door actuator for the rear floor/console into the car and fix it on the housing for the rear vent air diffuser, rotating the actuator as needed to get the actuator's splines to match those on the air door's pivot shaft. Affix the actuator with two screws, each tightened to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) and join the HVAC wire harness connector to the actuator. After that, set the instrument panel in place and reattach the negative cable to the battery.
