2007 Jeep Liberty Coolant Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Coolant Temperature Sensor in a 3.7L Engine on 2007 Jeep Liberty?
A: Before servicing the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor on the 3.7L engine-housed in the water jacket up front of the intake manifold and close to the rear of the generator-partially drain the cooling system to guard against injury from high-pressure, hot coolant. Thereafter, unplug the electrical wires from the sensor and, with the electric connector disconnected, remove the sensor from the intake manifold.
