2007 Jeep Liberty Crankshaft Seal Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Service a Front Crankshaft Seal on 2007 Jeep Liberty?
A: The first step is to remove the accessory drive belt and take the negative cable off the battery to service and repair the front crankshaft seal. Next, take the fasteners holding the A/C compressor in place and keep them out of the way, then drain the cooling system and take off the upper radiator hose. Disconnect the power cable for the fan that's inside the shroud and next remove the fasteners that join the shroud to the radiator. After you finish, remove the radiator cooling fan and its shroud and then remove the crankshaft damper bolt. To completely remove the damper, use 8513 Insert and 1026 Three Jaw Puller and for the crankshaft seal front, use 8511 Special Tool.
