A: To start the service on the parking brake cable, lock out the park brake system. The first thing to do is uninstall the center console. Pull up on the brake cables where they connect at the equalizer and add a suitable device to lock out the parking brake cable. Following that, remove the detach the cables first from the equalizer and then from the body bracket by pressing on the tangs with a wrench. Raise the vehicle above the work path and take out the cables and grommets from the driver's floor area. After that, detach the cable from the axle bracket and remove it from the brake lever at the support plate.
