2008 Dodge Viper Brake Disc Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace a Rear Brake Disc on 2008 Dodge Viper?
A: To change the rear brake rotor, elevate the car, support it securely and then remove the wheel and tire assembly. After that, take the two bolts off the caliper that hold it to the knuckle and hang the caliper from the control arm with a ziptie. After that, open the two bolts that connect the hydraulic brake caliper to the knuckle and remove the caliper, again holding it up with mechanics wire. With the same rotor, place a mark on the wheel mounting stud and the rotor so that the rotor will be put back in place properly. Also, remove the brake rotor from the combination of the wheel hub and the bearing.
