2009 Jeep Commander A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an A/C Condenser on 2009 Jeep Commander?
A: Before removing the A/C condenser, you should isolate the negative battery cable. Take the refrigerant out of the refrigerant system. Then, take off the grille, proceed to the air filter housing and finish with the air inlet tube. Leaving the hood latch attached to the radiator crossmember is preferred when doing this job. Subsequently, eliminate the upper radiator crossmember and support bracket and leave them out of the way. If the application requires it, either take off the fluid cooler or move it so it is not needed. Separate the cooler lines from the automatic transmission and tailpipe them with plugs or tape over them. Remove the A/C discharge line from the A/C condenser and then unscrew the nut holding the receiver/drier to the radiator and fan shroud. Remove the connecting tube between your receiver drier and the A/C condenser. After that, take out the four bolts holding the A/C condenser to the radiator and gently lift the unit straight up and from the engine compartment.
