Before fitting the A/C condenser, first make sure the refrigerant oil level is correct, adding 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce) of the right refrigerant oil only if the condenser is the only component being exchanged. If you open a refrigerant line, be sure to change the O-ring seals and gaskets to help prevent leaks. Attach the A/C condenser to the
Radiator and use four bolts to tighten them to 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.). Screw in the receiver/drier inlet tube to the A/C condenser and secure the A/C receiver/drier to the radiator and fan shroud so that the force on the screw is 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.). First, attach the A/C discharge line to the condenser, next remove all plastic plugs or tape from the auto transmission cooler and fluid cooler and finally attach the cooler lines to the cooler on the transmission. Fit in the power steering fluid cooler, upper radiator crossmember, support bracket, air filter, air inlet tube and
Grille. After finishing the negative
Battery Cable connection, exhaust the refrigerant system and charge it as recommended. When you are replacing more than one component in your air conditioner, use the Refrigerator Oil Capacities chart to get the right amount of oil. Next, inspect the automatic transmission fluid and add some if it's needed.
