2010 Jeep Liberty Evaporator Parts and Q&A
Q: How Can the Evaporator Influence Refrigerant Oil Level Adjustments to Prevent A/C System Malfunction and Compressor Damage on 2010 Jeep Liberty?
A: Always check and correct the level of refrigerant oil when servicing the A/C to avoid problems with the system and possible compressor damages. When you are only replacing the A/C evaporator, put in 60 milliliters (2 fluid ounces) of recommended refrigerant oil. Refrigerant Oil Capacities chart should be checked if more than one A/C component is being replaced. Every time you remove a refrigerant line, remember to change the O-ring seals or gaskets to prevent leaks. Put the rubber seal for the evaporator tubes and tapping block in the right spot in the HVAC opening. If the panels are taken out, put the rubber seal over the evaporator tubes and tapping block. Make sure that the open cells of the foam insulator cover the A/C evaporator, keeping it in place. Installing the evaporator and insulator into the lower half of the HVAC housing is best when done with care. Build the HVAC housing and put it in place in the vehicle. During a replacement of the A/C evaporator, add 60mL (2 fl. oz.) of the appropriate refrigerant oil to the refrigerant system.
