    Q: How to Service and Repair a Cruise Control Servo on Chrysler Pacifica?
    A:
    Before servicing or repairing the cruise control servo, remove the negative battery cable. Take out the bolt that holds the servo bracket and pull the clasp on the speed control cable out of the hole the throttle cable used to go through. After that, undo the clip at the end of the throttle cable and withdraw the speed control cable from the bracket. Unplug the electrical wires and vacuum hose and use a wrench to take out the two nuts attaching the bracket and cable to the servo. Pull the wire connected to the servo away from the servo which will reveal the retaining dip you need to pull out. To install it, attach the dip to the servo, then bolt the two nuts holding the mounting bracket and speed control cable to the servo, taking care to follow the torque rules. Join up the electrical plugs, hook up the vacuum hose, feed the speed control cable into the hole at the throttle cam and tighten the servo bracket bolt by following the specified torque before finishing with the negative battery cable.

    It is necessary to open the hood and release the hood latch and also to remove the negative battery cable to work on the cruise control servo. After that, remove the cable ends from the throttle body and press in the tabs found on the cable casing to the bracket to unlock them. Release the vacuum line from the speed control servo that feeds the battery tray/vacuum reservoir and remove the reservoir. Then, take the speed control servo and bracket off, cut the connector to the speed control servo from its wire and remove the servo. During installation, take the speed control cable and place it on the replacement speed control servo, attach the retaining clip to the cable there and fix it with 2 nuts tightened to 7 Nm (60 ins. lbs.) on both the cable and servo bracket. Attach the servo to the electrical connector and then join the vacuum line to the control servo going to the battery/vacuum reservoir. Add the speed control servo and its bracket and then the vacuum reservoir/battery tray. At the end of your preparation, install the casing for the speed-control cable, fasten the cable and top cover to the bracket and link the two ends of the throttle and speed control cable to the throttle body.
