Prior to servicing the A/C Heater Control, turn off the air bags by isolating the vehicle's battery negative cable and give the air bag system two minutes to clear its capacitor. Take out the center bezel by pushing away from the middle and set it in place safely, rubbedown, on the work area. If there is an ATC system, remove the infrared sensor jumper harness connector from the heater-A/C control at the back. After that, get rid of the six screws that keep the heater-A/C control attached to the dashboard and remove it. Place the heater-A/C control onto the back of the center bezel in the instrument panel and secure it with six screws, twisting them to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). If you have the ATC system, place the jumper harness connector into the infrared sensor. After that, re-install the center bezel onto the instrument panel and link the negative side of the battery cable.
