How to replace the A/C evaporator on Dodge Ram 1500 Van?

The evaporator can be changed by removing the heater-A/C housing first and then removing the top cover from inside the housing. After that, separate the expansion valve and the fin sensing cycling clutch switch probe from the evaporator coil. Take out the evaporator coil from inside the heater-A/C housing. First, set the new evaporator coil into the housing at the base of the heater-A/C and then place the expansion valve and fin sensing cycling clutch switch probe back on the coil. Reattach the top cover to the heater-A/C and fix the heater-A/C housing in place inside the engine compartment. Should the front evaporator coil be changed, you should add 60 ml (2 fl. oz.) of the refrigerant oil type recommended by the vehicle's manual.
