How to service A/C Compressor Cut-Out Switches (high-pressure sensor/switch) on Dodge Ram 1500 Van?

Disconnect the battery negative cable before you start on the high pressure sensor/switch. Remove the wire harness from the high pressure cut-off switch which is attached to an adaptor on the uncharged side of the discharge between the compressor and condenser. Open the discharge line fitting and unscrew the high pressure cut-off switch. Throw away the O-ring from the fitting. Coat a new O-ring seal with clean refrigerant oil for R-134a before putting it on the discharge line fitting; use just the special material O-rings intended and recommended oil for your vehicle's compressor. Put the high pressure cut-off switch on the discharge line fitting, tighten it to 7.5 Nm (5.5 ft. lbs.), connect the wire harness to the switch and connect the battery negative cable once again.
