Put the isolator pad on the spring, place it into the lower suspension arm and secure it so it stays in the proper seat. After that, direct the Compressor DD1278 through the lower suspension arm, coil spring and shock hole in the frame and secure it by tightening the tool nut. After installing the
Steering Knuckle, fit the upper
Ball Joint and tighten the retaining nut to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) and add another 90° turn in the case of the 1500 series. After removing the spring compressor tool, hold the lower
Control Arm on its outboard side to help carry the vehicle's load. After installing the
Shock Absorber and link, unclip the support on the lower control arm. Once you've assembled the wheel and tire, use ramps to lower the vehicle, then add its weight to the floor and tighten all the frame pivot bolts for both the front and rear control arms. Do a wheel alignment in the last step.
