Before anything else, pull the wiper blades off the arms and remove them from the wiper arms. After that, open the hood and disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Now, take off the cover/grille over the cowl plenum. Then, cut the mixture cable and remove the four screws that join the wiper module to the cowl plenum panel. Separate the headlamp and dash wire harness connector from the wiper motor pigtail wire connector and lastly, remove the whole wiper module from the cowl plenum panel as a whole part.

The first thing to do before working on the wiper motor linkage is to detach and isolate the vehicle's battery negative terminal. After that, take out the front wiper arms from the pivots. After that, remove the cover that covers the cowl plenum from above. Unplug the connector (6) from the front wiper motor (5) in the connector receptacle. Disconnect the bracket from the car body by removing the two (1) screws securing its ends to the under cowl plenum (3). Subsequently, separate nut (2) that is on the front wiper motor bracket rubber insulator to remove the rubber from the weld stud (4) under the cowl plenum. Then, take out the entire front wiper module from the cowl plenum.
