Office cleaning should start with the front wiper arm by removing the lines connecting it to the other parts. Apply a two jaw puller 5 to pull apart the wiper arm 7 from its pivot and take out both wiper arms 1 and 2 following this step. When servicing the rear wiper arm of the wagon, first take off the nut cap 2 and retaining nut 1. Rock the wiper arm softly from side to side so it comes loose from the shaft, then slide out the wiper arm.

How to Remove and Install a Wiper Arm on Dodge Ram 1500?

Before removing the wiper arm, lift it into its over-center position to keep the wiper blade off the glass and let the spring tension with the pivot shaft go. Open the catch at the pivot of the arm and, with a light wiggle backwards and forwards, loosen and remove the turntable from the wiper shaft. Remember that the right and left wiper arms cannot be changed, because the right one is slightly longer. Before fitting the blades, move the wiper arm hinge into the over-center place. The wiper arms fit onto the wiper pivot shafts because integral keys in the pivot part of the wiper arm engage corresponding keyways in the pivot shaft. As soon as everything is in place, push the wiper arm pivot down and evenly onto the wiper pivot shaft and the latch will snap into its position. Lower the wiper arm slowly until the wiper blade is placed over the windshield glass so it's ready to use.
