2001 Dodge Durango Blower Control Switches Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install Blower Control Switches on 2001 Dodge Durango?
A: Removing and installing the rear blower motor switch found in the right bucket region must be done according to specific procedures proper to models with optional rear heater-A/C systems. To remove the old battery, separate and isolate the negative cable before anything else. After that, take your trim stick or wide flat-bladed tool and gently lift over the two indentations at the outside of the rear control to separate it from the headliner. Pull the rear blower motor switch from and away from the headliner and once it's accessible, unplug the wire harness connector from its back, then remove the switch as well. First, hook the wire harness onto the back of the rear blower motor switch, then pull the wire harness back through the opening in the headliner. Pushing down softly on the rear blower motor switch, slide the switch into the mounting hole until it snaps into place and then plug the negative battery cable back in.
