For a metal brake tube being flared using ISO standards, always use the recommended replacement, but steel double-walls can be used for rush repairs when the original isn't accessible. First, remove the unaffected part of the tube using a Tubing Cutter and then smooth out any burrs inside. Following this, slide the tube nut onto the tube and insert it into the top of the flaring tool, check it is flush with the tool and tighten the tool around the tube. Add the proper sized adapter to the flaring tool yoke screw and apply grease to it. Place the adapter and yoke screw over the tube and then tighten the yoke screw as far as it goes until the adapter sits squarely on the bar.
