2004 Chrysler Pacifica HVAC Pressure Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service an HVAC Pressure Switch on 2004 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: To deal with the Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch, unhook and separate the battery negative cable first. After that, pull the wire connector off the pressure switch of the HVAC system. Unscrew the HVAC pressure switch from the fitting on the liquid line with an open end wrench, with the filter-drier on one side and the expansion valve on the other. Then, remove and discard the seal from the switch fitting. Before installation, lubricate a new rubber O-ring seal with clean refrigerant oil and then insert it on the HVAC pressure switch fitting. Instead of using a spanner, screw the switch onto the fitting between the filter-drier and the expansion valve using an open end wrench. Attach the wire harness connector to the HVAC pressure switch and in the end, reconnect the negative battery cable.
