2004 Dodge Durango A/C Accumulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an A/C Accumulator on 2004 Dodge Durango?
A: Prior to servicing or repairing the A/C accumulator, first remove the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. After that, loosen the liquid line at the front and back of the A/C accumulator to remove them. Afterward, remove the two bolts holding the A/C accumulator and bracket to the right front frame rail and then pull the A/C accumulator out of the engine area. When replacing the A/C accumulator, put 30 milliliters of oil into the system using only the oil required for the vehicle's air conditioning compressor. Put the A/C accumulator and bracket into the engine compartment, attach the two bolts to the right front frame rail and tighten the bolts to 6.8 Nm. When that's done, fit the liquid line to the A/C accumulator, remove all air from the system and fill the newly charged system with refrigerant.
