2005 Dodge Durango A/C Accumulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an A/C Accumulator on 2005 Dodge Durango?
A: Before you can work or repair the A/C accumulator, make sure to recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Afterward, take out the front and rear parts of the liquid line from the A/C accumulator. After that, remove the two bolts holding the A/C accumulator bracket and A/C accumulator in place and free them from the engine compartment. When adding a new A/C accumulator, put 30 milliliters of refrigerant oil into the system using the type designed for the vehicle's A/C compressor. Set the A/C accumulator and bracket in the engine compartment, place the two bolts into the right front frame rail and secure them with 6.8 N.m of force. After all, attach the front and rear parts of the liquid line to the A/C accumulator, vacuum the refrigerant system and charge it with refrigerant.
