Take the switch straight off its bracket and get rid of it, as it is only used once. Align the locking collar's tabs with the keyed opening as you press the brake pedal, then install the brake switch by inserting it until it clicks into place. Wind the switch clockwise about 30 degrees so it's set and let go of the brake pedal.
