2005 Chrysler Pacifica Evaporator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix an Evaporator on 2005 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: The first step in servicing or repairing the A/C evaporator is to take out the HVAC housing. Remove the HVAC housing parts when necessary and taking care to remove the seal and the A/C evaporator and insulator carefully from the lower section. If you have to, take out the insulator from the A/C evaporator. When fitting a new A/C evaporator, inject 50 milliliters (1.7 fluid ounces) of oil recommended for the car's A/C compressor. Should the insulator be removed, install it over the A/C evaporator and make certain the evaporator drain in the HVAC housing istidy and free of blockages as well as that the insulator and rubber seal are in the correct place. Install the A/C evaporator into the HVAC housing's bottom and snap the rubber edge shut. After that, reattach the HVAC housing.
