- Q: How to Service the Blower Motor While Ensuring the Airbag System is Disabled on 2005 Dodge Dakota?A: If the vehicle has air bags, begin by cutting off the car's air bag system by isolating the negative battery cable and waiting two minutes for the system's capacitor to dissipate. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the blower motor, remove the three screws holding it in place and take out the blower motor. To make the installation, fit the blower motor into the housing and use the three screws to hold it in place, tightening them to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). After that, link the wire harness connector to the blower motor and lastly put the battery cable back in place.
