  A: Start by siphoning the master cylinder, making sure you take out both the main brake line there and the one leading to the HCU (4). Then, remove the secondary brake line near the master cylinder and at the HCU (4), then take out the 4 chassis lines at the HCU and remove its electrical connector (5). Unscrew the 3 nuts from the HCU mount, then remove the whole assembly from beneath the vehicle. Unplug the sensor's electrical connector (8) from the reservoir (2) and unscrew the master cylinder's two mounting nuts (9) to remove the master cylinder (6). Separate the hose from the booster check valve (10), unscrew and lift out the hush panel (2) and remove the steering column opening cover (2) together. Grasp the retainer (1) beside the pedal pin (2) to free the push rod (3), then slide the rod out of its position on the pin.
