2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Transmission Speed Sensor for Input on 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: The first step to service the input speed sensor is to lift the vehicle and slide a catch pan under the transmission. Remove the hardware holding the input speed sensor to the transmission case and then lift out the sensor after disconnecting its wiring connector. Afterwards, place sensor 3 back onto the transmission case and attach it with the bolt, rubbing in until 11.9 Nm (105 inch lbs.) is reached. Attach the wiring connector to the input speed sensor and then check and add transmission fluid as needed, before lowering the car.
