How to Service and Repair the ABS Control Module on 2005 Jeep Liberty?

Take the negative battery cable off the battery before you begin any service on the Electronic Brake Control Module. After that, raise the harness catch to take out the connector, detach the pump from the ABM and remove the brake lines from it. Then, get rid of the ABM mounting nuts and carefully take the ABM device out of the car. Afterwards, take away the mounting screws from the ABM unit. If you are replacing the ABM module, it needs to be reset with a scan tool. Fix the ABM module to the ABM unit and then tighten all the screws to 2 N.m. Afterward, place the ABM back into the vehicle and tighten the mounting bracket nuts to 14.1 N.m. Attach the brake lines, secure them at 20 N.m and plug the connector of the wiring harness into the ABM. Then, attach the negative battery cable back and drain the brake system brake fluid.
