2005 Jeep Liberty Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Rear Wheel Speed Sensor on 2005 Jeep Liberty?
A: The sensor should be serviced by raising the car on a hoist and then disconnecting the sensor's wire harness. After that, take out the mounting stud (2) from the sensor (3) and remove the sensor (3). The seal should be securely attached between the sensor and wiring connector after you join the harness to sensor (3). If the O-ring has been removed, put it on the sensor. After inserting sensor (3) into housing (1), add sensor stud (2) and tighten it to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.). After everything else, link the sensor electrical connector and then lower the vehicle.
