- Q: How to Service and Repair a Harmonic Balancer and Crankshaft Pulley on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?A: Start by taking out the negative car battery cable and lifting the vehicle with a hoist to remove and repair the harmonic balancer and crankshaft pulley. Take out the right front wheel, the splash shield for the accessory drive belt and the accessory drive belt. When you're done, take out the damper bolt and remove the whole crankshaft damper with Special Tool 1023 and 9020-R. When installing, you need Special Tools C-4685-C1 (5.9 inch) Bolt, Nut and Thrust Bearing from 6792, together with Installer 6792-1 for installing the crankshaft damper. Turn the vibration damper bolt to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) and after that install the accessory drive belt, the accessory drive belt shield and the right front wheel. Once you think everything is tightened, lower the vehicle and attach the negative battery cable.
