  • Q: How to Safely Service the Air Bag Sensor in the Left Front Satellite on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
    A: Remove and separate the negative cable from the battery near the remote terminal before you service the Left Front Satellite Acceleration Sensor. You should not simply get in your car; instead, wait outside or keep distance from the car for about two minutes so the air bag will not deploy by accident. Following that, take out the front lower grille and unplug the electrical connector. Take the screws out of the SAS side and remove the SAS from the side radiator support. For installation, attach the SAS to the radiator support, on its side and hold it with the two retaining screws, fastening them to 10.5 N.m (92 in. lbs.). Link the SAS plug back and put the front lower grille back into place. Do not hook up the negative cable of the battery until after the system has been tested, to prevent anyone from being injured or killed.
