2006 Dodge Durango A/C Accumulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Accumulator on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: Always take care of the refrigerant before working on the A/C accumulator in the air conditioning system. Sequentially, take out front and back liquid line sections known as part numbers 1 and 4 that are attached to the A/C accumulator, part number 2. After that, remove the bold, marked 3 which holds the A/C accumulator-bracket group to the right front frame rail, number 5 and then take the A/C accumulator assembly out of the engine compartment. When you change the A/C accumulator, add 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce) of the proper oil for the compressor to the system. Place the A/C accumulator and bracket, part number 2, behind the engine compartment, attach the bolt number 3 to the right front frame rail, part number 5, tightening the bolts to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.). After the two sections are back in place, numbered 1 and 4, join them to the A/C accumulator and finish by evacuating and charging the system with refrigerant.
