2006 Dodge Durango A/C Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the A/C Switch on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: On vehicles equipped with air bags, first cut off the air bag system's cable from the battery, allowing you to service the control assembly only once the system has discharged for two minutes of so. The first step is to take off the negative cable from the battery. After that, eliminate the center bezel from the instrument panel and remove the wire harness connector(s) from the A/C-heater control, placing the center bezel on a workbench. Take out four screws from the A/C-heater control and unlatch the control from its mount. Insert the A/C-heater control into the center hole of the instrument panel bezel and attach it with the screws, tightening all screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). Completed attaching the wire harness connector(s) to the A/C-heater control and put the instrument panel center bezel back in place before completing the battery cable connection.
