How to Service and Repair a Front Blower Motor Safely on 2006 Dodge Durango?

Before working on the front blower motor, first take out the negative battery cable from the air bag system, leave it disconnected for two minutes and then, on vehicles with air bags, reconnect the cable. First, take out the trim panel on the right front sill and remove the cowl trim cover on the right side of your interior. Then, separate the wire harness connector from the blower motor and remove the three screws holding the blower motor and its wheel to the HVAC housing. Gently remove the blower motor and blower wheel assembly from inside the unit. Hold the motor and wheel assembly (2) in place in the housing (4) and attach it using the three screws (3), tightening them just enough to reach 2.2 N.m (20 in. lbs.). Align the blower motor with the wire harness connector (1) and install both inside the car: the right front door sill trim and the right side interior cowl cover. Now, attachment the negative battery cable to the car.
