How to Service and Repair an Ignition Switch on 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

As we first need to disconnect the battery's negative cable in order to repair the ignition switch. Remove the switch bezel, silencer pad, knee blocker and torx screws. Remove key/cylinder/switch assembly, electrical connectors and Skreem unit and ignition switch. Reinstall components in reverse order and make sure it's installed correctly, and secure all screws.
